Can't access after journal is deleted . . .

I just tested something, and it didn't work.

I saved a private test journal to my documents, then I deleted it. I was NOT able to read the journal. I could pull up the first page of the journal, but no previous posts, no archives. So I'm very much afraid that saving to your computer and even to a CD is going to be a waste of time.

I am still copying and pasting everything just to be safe.

As a suggestion as your now on Blogger you can use Google Docs. and copy and paste everything there, without using up space on your hardrive, don't know about pictures though, but google picassa is pretty good and all pics/graphics that you have added to the new journals will be on there.

I had only been blogging for about a year, so I didn't have too much to save. I just cut and paste everything to a word document. Luckily, I had been doing it all along, so I had almost half my journal already saved (including pics). Guess I'll start doing it with this one as well...

Check out my latest entry. The method I tell about there is working for me. But since I've had a journal for four years, it's taking a looooong time!

I have been reading about downloading to eBooks, but where do I find that program. I had Googled it and all I could find we books for reading on the web, under the catagory of eBooks.

My method is to go to Internet Explorer, type in the name of your journal and search. When you find it click on it, then on "Save as..." then click on "Save" your whole journal will be on "My documents" to piece out as you wish.

Well, supposedly Blogger is transferring my journal this very minute, but it is taking ever so long. I may cut and paste into a word document on an external hard drive, just to be safe. I thought about not bothering with saving any of the the past three years' worth of journaling, but then I realized I do want to keep the memories and the feelings, the thoughts and reflections of these past few years. I'll do a bit each night. Thanks for coming by my last aol journal entry and leaving a comment! bea
