"Last Train To Clarksville"
Day 5 of 31 Days of The Monkees:
We in Kentuckiana, who have had very, very little snow this season, actually got some accumulation last night. Some areas got as much as 5 or 6 inches, but it didn't look like we got that much in our yard when I peeked out this morning. It isn't going to last long, whatever we got, because the temps are going back up, and we'll be close to 70° again on Wednesday. I'm sure the snow has hampered some of the recovery efforts for the people who are trying to salvage as much as they can of personal possessions after the tornado on Friday.

This was their first single to make it to #1 on the charts, and is a phone call between a military service member and his wife or girlfriend. He's getting ready to ship out, and he wants her to meet him one last time, since he doesn't know if he'll ever be coming home:
